Diego Maradona in an interview reveals the reason why Real Madrid sold their former talisman to Italian Serie A giants Juventus in the summer. The Portuguese International joined the Serie A Champions in the summer for a fee around the region of 105 million pounds, with numerous fans all around world blaming the club for allowing such deal to happen.


The Argentine legend is in support of selling the former Manchester United star and also believes the deal both favours Real Madrid and Cristiano Ronaldo.

“I think that it was a good move for Cristiano. He gave his all to Madrid, he wasn’t enjoying it as much as he does now in Italian football and Florentino is always planning. When he saw Ronaldo was only getting a goal a game he sold him.”


“Clearly yes but I always say that a player doesn’t make a club. Madrid will recover, they will win again, they have a great squad but the truth is that CR7 continues to score goals and people will say why was he sold.” “I always say that Florentino is clever and if he let him go it was for a reason.”


Maradona also believes English Premier League table-toppers Manchester City can go all the way to win the UEFA Champions League this season, even though he said Jose Mourinho is better than the CItyzen’s boss Pep Guardiola.


“Yes they could win it. Before I spoke about Pep and it is clear that he is a coach that understands games better than a lot that think they know it and then lose 3-0.”
“Kun can win the Champions League but also I say to the Argentine kids that the Champions League is great but soon will come the World Cup. That they don’t only think about the Champions League.”

Ghana Deports 17 Nigerian 'Yahoo Boys'

No fewer than 17 Nigerians have been deported from Ghana for allegedly committing offences in the country, involving in cyber crimes, known in Nigeria as 'Yahoo Yahoo'. According to the Ghana Immigration Service (GIS), it said 29 people were arrested in Ho, the Volta Regional capital but 17 were found involved in criminal activities. The Ho Municipal Police Commander, DSP Anthony Danso, said after their arrest, they immediately handed the suspects over to immigration service to determine their status and finding shows that only 12 out of the 29 Nigerians were found to be legal residents of Ho. Danso continued that those that were found to be legal residents were immediately freed to continue their various work and activities, adding that some house owners in the country are afraid to lease their apartments to some Nigerians. Item recovered by the police are 20 mobile phones, 33 laptops, two television sets and other electronic gadgets.
